# Indie About-Page Copy Blocks

**SKU:** `about-page-copy`
**Price:** $9 USD, paid in USDC on Base
**Format:** Paste-ready about-page sections for a one-person US software business
**Audience:** US indie hackers who need an /about that does not read like a startup myth
**Promise:** A short about page that names you, the job you sell, and how to pay — without a fake team or origin movie.

## 0. Rules

- First person singular unless you actually have a co-founder.
- No “we’re a team of passionate…” if it is you.
- No invented logos, press, revenue, or “trusted by 10,000 makers.”
- You may list **real** products with **real** prices. Omit what you cannot show.
- Length target: 250–450 words. If you need a manifesto, that is a different URL.

## 1. Page map

1. Name + one-line job
2. Who you help / who you don’t
3. What is for sale right now
4. How you work (hours, support, location)
5. Proof that is boring and true
6. Contact

## 2. Openers (pick one)

1. `I’m [NAME]. I sell [PRODUCT TYPE] to [WHO] so they can [JOB] without [WORKAROUND].`
2. `I ship small paid files and tools. This page is who I am and what you can buy today.`
3. `[NAME] — US indie hacker. Day job: [OPTIONAL]. Paid work I take: [LIST].`
4. `If you need an agency, this is the wrong about page. If you need [ARTIFACT], keep reading.`

## 3. Who / not-who

```
I help [WHO] who already [BEHAVIOR].
I do not help [NOT WHO]. I will refund or refuse the payment if that’s you — cheaper than a bad fit.
```

Fill-ins that stay specific:

- Who: `US solo founders with a live checkout`
- Who: `indie consultants who already send proposals`
- Not-who: `seed-stage teams looking for a full-time contractor`
- Not-who: `anyone who wants me to run their ads`

## 4. “What is for sale” table

Paste a table. Empty cells are not allowed — delete the row instead.

| Product | Job | Price | Link |
|---------|-----|-------|------|
|  |  |  |  |
|  |  |  |  |

Closing line: `If it is not in this table, I am not selling it this month.`

## 5. How I work

Pick the true block.

**A. Files only**
`I deliver markdown/HTML by email after payment. No Zoom. Support is email for [N] days on “the file is missing X that the page promised.”`

**B. Files + occasional calls**
`Default is async. I take [N] calls per month, booked after payment, [LENGTH] max.`

**C. You have a day job**
`I ship evenings US [TIMEZONE]. I do not pretend to be a 24/7 support desk.`

Always add: `Location: [CITY, STATE], United States.` (City optional; country/state helps billing expectations.)

## 6. Proof blocks (boring on purpose)

Use only what is true. Strike the rest.

1. `I have used this exact workflow on [MY PRODUCT] since [MONTH YEAR].`
2. `I previously did [JOB] at [COMPANY OR “for myself”].`
3. `You can see unfinished work in [PUBLIC CHANGELOG / GITHUB / X].`
4. `I do not publish revenue screenshots. If that is your filter, skip me.`

Do not use a testimonial you would not send back to the person for approval.

## 7. Origin (optional, 4 lines max)

Bad origin: childhood, hustle porn, “I quit my job to change maker culture.”
Useful origin: the failed longer product and the piece you kept.

```
I tried to build [GRAND THING]. It was too wide.
The piece people asked for was [SMALL THING]. That’s what I sell.
```

## 8. Contact and payment

```
Email: [EMAIL]
Orders: pay [RAIL], then email the tx/receipt and the SKU name.
I do not take DMs as contracts.
```

If you take USDC on Base: say **Base USDC only**, paste the address on the product page, not necessarily here.

## 9. Full page draft

```
# About
I’m Jordan Hale. I sell short markdown kits to US solo founders so they can publish a checkout page without borrowing a SaaS boilerplate’s voice.
I help people who already have a product outline and an audience they can email.
I do not help teams looking for a designer-developer retainer.
## For sale this month
| Product | Job | Price | Link |
|---------|-----|-------|------|
| First Dollar Offer Worksheet | Pick who / pain / price | $9 | /first-dollar-offer |
| Waitlist Copy Blocks | Honest waitlist page | $9 | /waitlist-copy |
If it is not in this table, I am not selling it this month.
## How I work
I deliver markdown/HTML by email after payment. No Zoom. Support is email for 7 days on “the file is missing X that the page promised.”
Location: Denver, CO, United States.
## Proof (small)
I have used this exact workflow on my own tiny uptime ping tool since Jan 2025.
I do not publish revenue screenshots. If that is your filter, skip me.
Jordan Hale is fictional. Swap every fact for yours.
## 11. Voice checklist before you publish
- [ ] “I” not “we” (unless true)
- [ ] At least one not-for line
- [ ] Prices are current
- [ ] No follower counts used as proof
- [ ] Email is one you actually read
